We're married!

It's all over and I can't believe it! Our wedding was more than I could have ever dreamt of! Everything went so perfectly and I wouldn't want it any other way! I'm very proud of myself that I didn't even cry for the whole wedding! I guess it's because I cried every day before that! Our Honeymoon was so fun... we went to LA, hollywood, Laguna Beach, La Jolla, San Diego, Anaheim, Disneyland, Legoland, and Seaworld! We had something to do each day! Being married is so wonderful and we are enjoying more and more each day!!! I need to post some pictures, and I will soon... Thank you to everyone who came on our big wedding day! It was so much fun!

Engagement Pictures!

It was the fourth of July Yesterday and Mike and I went out on the boat with his family! We decided the night before that while we were out we would take engagement pictures, because we haven't taken any yet(we've been engaged for 10 months). That can just tell you how crazy it's been and we haven't had any time! So, we went to capers island and took some beautiful pictures! Sherry (Mike's mom) turned out to be a great photographer! I can't wait to post them! They will be here shortly!

43 days left....

Time has flown by so quickly!!! All of my inviations are out... well, almost. I have a stack of 15 left. The honeymoon is planned. Everything is booked and ready for the big day! I've already received over 80 replys back from my RSVP cards!! I love getting them... and reading what everyone is saying! Here are some pictures of us making the invitation! Everyone helped... even Mike's dad! :) We made over 200 and after that it's almost like we stopped counting!!!

I had my first shower... it was so fun and such a great turnout! My wonderful bridesmaids threw it for me and it was amazing! I received lots of gifts for Mike and I for our new home and married life. We are looking at different apartments lately and now we are just deciding on which one to pick based on location, price, and how much we like it!

This past weekend I went on vacation with Mike and his family camping. It was fun, and I guess it will probably be our last vacation with his family before we get married! It was a lot of fun... we went white water rafting... I actually fell out if my boat!!!

Alterations on everything are coming along well... the bridemaids dresses are shipping right now!!! Hopefully they will be here sometime this week! My dress is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait until it's all together! I'm getting my bridal portraits taken within the next couple of weeks depending on how fast my dress gets done! They will be taken on the beach and I just can't wait!!!

My little nephew, Jack Bradford is getting so big and absolutely adorable!!! He is actually going to be a part of the wedding party... it's a surprise on how he's coming in!!! I am just so excited!!

That's about all the updates for now that I can think of... I'm sure there is more but I'll have to get back later!

Honeymoon Info

So, Mike and I are going to California for our Honeymoon. Yes!!! It's every exciting!!! We already have our plane tickets!!! That's such a relief. I covered and decorated a bank in my room so I'm putting extra change in there every time I have some... it's actually getting pretty full! This way we will have some spending money while we are there! It's pretty cute! We are flying in on Monday, the day after our wedding, and coming back the following Monday! We are planning to go to Disneyland, Las Angeles, Hollywood, and San Diego! We thought about going on a cruise while we were there, but there is only one cruise shipping out when we are there and it didn't look like a good deal, so we decided to go to San Diego instead!! One other exciting thing that we found out and we've been waiting for ever since we've been engaged is that The Price Is Right will be filming while we are there!!! (That is our favorite show!)We are trying to get tickets, so wish us luck! I think that we are also going to be attending a LA Dodgers baseball game while we are there... that will be fun, I love baseball!! Now all we have to do is plan all the small details!

groomsmen suits, gerber daisies and other wedding updates!

I am just so excited about my wedding, and everyday I get more and more excited because it's getting closer and more things are getting accomplished!! It is now 143 days to go, which seems like a lot but it's just a little over 4 months away!!!
The groomsmen suits have come in the mail... they are khaki seersucker and they look awesome and adorable! Mike tried his on for me and he looks super sharp! I love them... we have to get them fitted for a couple of the guys because the place where I ordered them, didn't have all the correct sizes. But, that's ok... that is why we love our seamstress!! The younger boys (jr. groomsmen and ring bearers) will be wearing blue seersucker! I'm going to tie in yellow with the younger boys and an aqua blue to go with the groomsmen but I have to be careful because I don't want the blue seersucker and the aqua blue to clash! I'll just have to work with it!

I can't wait until my dress comes in! It has been a little over three months since I have ordered it, so hopefully no longer than 2 more months and it will be here!!!!
I just can't wait! I am inspired by some pictures of a friend's wedding and I just love her flowers because they are almost the same as what I'm having! They are gerber daisies!!! When I saw her pictures.... it just made me so excited to actually see how mine might kind of look!!

I found some really cute fake flowers at target the other day with all of the easter decorations. Of course my mom and I bought them so I don't know exactly what we'll use them for.... maybe the flower girls' kiss balls... We just couldn't resist them... some of the flowers are white gerber daisies with polka dots on them!!! I made a bouquet out of some of them and this is them showing right here!!!

I think that's all the updates for now, I just keep on getting more and more excited about the big day!!!

we made it to the 100 mark!

Today was the day that the 100th person viewed our wedding web page on theknot.com! That is pretty exciting I think out of that 100 I have probably looked at it 10 times... that is pretty good! We are now less that 6 months away from the wedding.... I have told most of the bridesmaids to order their dresses and by the end of the month they should all be ordered.... that is exciting! I found some cute shoes for my bridesmaids, they are a light color wood on the 3 inch heel, and the top of them (the cloth part) are yellow with white polka dots! I found these ADORABLE flower girl dresses for a very affordable price at target.com, which now we are getting bows made for them (big ones... yea, I know it's cute!). Some of our wedding decorations for the kid's table came in this week along with our candy favor boxes... they are awesome. I actually ordered them from oriental trading. (again... great prices!) I'm such a penny pincher, so when I find something for such a good deal I get really excited!

For the groomsmen, we are looking for brown jackets (suit like) to be worn with khaki colored pants. We are having trouble finding some though... I figured that target, gap, or somewhere like that would have some but no luck yet... hopefully soon though. If anyone has seen any chocolate brown jackets please let me know! That's all for now... more wedding updates soon!

just want to dance, dance dance!

OK, so yesterday I was with my wedding coordinator (we went out to lunch) and we began to talk about wedding and reception music. I haven't decided what I want to be played at the wedding ceremony, or what any of the music will be to our special dances, such as: first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, and everything else. On the way back when we were leaving, she remembered that she had some CDs left in her car from the last wedding she had coordinated, so we pulled them out and started going through them. We listened to the first CD and on the third song through.... I found the song that we will be walking back down the isle when we leave!! It is so cute... and I am so excited!!! I would share.. but then, it won't be as special if everyone knew what it was! You'll just have to see when the wedding is here! Now I am getting more and more excited about planning what music will be played... any ideas... please let me know!

An Insider's look about the planning...

Hello Everyone! So, I'm kind of new to this whole blog thing, but I figured I'd give it a try. I wanted to just blog about my wedding and all the fun, stressful, annoying, and time consuming things that a normal bride, like myself gets to go through. I've been engaged for 5 months now.... wow, I can't believe it! And yes, I've dreamed of being engaged my whole life and planning a wedding. It's fnally here!!!

A couple of things I've noticed about being engaged, when I'm in class, I stare at my ring, people probably think... "What is that girl doing?" Then, when I go to work, I realize that in a certain room, it seems more sparkly. I seem to be obsessed with it! But hey, if you had a 1 carat diamond ring on your finger, you wouldn't be proud of it? Another thing is , I run through things in my head all day long like, how many tables do we need and where are they going at in the reception, what the centerpieces will be like, who is going to be my photographer (which I'm still trying to find the perfect one), what I'm going to put in the Welcome bags for the out of town guests, which of my attendants will be walking with Mike's attendants, what kind of side items do I need to pick for the food... and the list continues!! I find myself drawing the wedding party and what it is going to look like on the stage at the chapel, how I am going to wear my veil, and what order my flowergirls and ring bearers are going to walk in.

One thing I am super excited about is my bride planning book (I made it) now has tabs, and it is labled in catagories! It's expanding with all my ideas, lists, drawings, and cut outs of my 20 wedding magazines (I'm not exaggerating) I have in a stack on my bedroom floor. It's pretty serious and so much fun, I think I could be a professional.

My Dress: I have ordered my dress from a really good shop called Bridals by Jodi. I love that place, and the girl who helped me there, Candice (She is amazing!). I will recommend it to anyone!

Just some other info about my big day if you are interested:

Place: Seacoast Chapel
Reception: Alhambra Hall (It's so georgeous!!!)
Colors: YELLOW, pink, and tiffany blue
Flowers: Gerber Daisies and roses

Weddings, weddings, I love them!
